Dive Link Adventure Island Resort

A mere mention of Dive Link Resort, one may think of scuba diving right away.  Well, you got it right!  The resort offers a lot of services and water sports and activities but mainly scuba diving, thus, the name was derived.  Its our first time in Coron, Palawan and stayed in Dive Link Resort.  Its located in Uson island and only 10minutes away from Coron town by boat (Bangka).  It is near, yes, that you can even see the resort's "little" pier and walkway from Coron's mainland.

It is raining when we arrive, hence I was not able to capture the resort's beauty in daylight.  This type of weather makes me curl up in our twin-sharing air conditioned room and just sleep my day away.  But hey! I didn't travel 1hour (by plane) away from Manila and took a bumpy ride on board Cebu Pacific Air (we are travelling when typhoon Quiel hit the country) just to sleep right?  Though the bed, cool weather and the chirping of the birds are inviting me to enter the world of dreams and unconscious fantasy.

We were welcome by the resorts' Operation Manager "Long" along with the fresh and delicious taste of "buko" juice and the breath taking view of Coron bay.  The moment I stepped inside the premises I already like the ambiance, view and the customer service on top of these.  We were informed about the hotel guidelines, services and was shown a 'feel-at-home' attitude right after arriving.

Escorted by one of resort's staff, we check our accommodation: a twin sharing air conditioned room.  It may not be the rooms / cottages right next to the shore, facing the beautiful sea but its still a beauty nonetheless.  Ours is facing the greenly and shady mountain.  A few steps away from the door is the starting point of the trek trail, also offered by the resort.  Several cottages are available and are named after fruit bearing trees that to my surprise, are also available inside the property.

On your 'down' time you can either seat on available chairs right next to the swimming pool, overlooking the pier and sea.  Or take a dip in their cold, clean swimming pool.  It is open from 6AM to 10PM.  You can either swim and have a chat with your friends on the stairs at the shallow part of the pool which is 4feet or go to the deepest which is around 6feet designed for scuba diving students.  You can also use the resorts kayaks, snorkeling gears, fishing rods, mask and other water sports materials.  A separate rental fee for some of the these activities may apply.  For a climber-type guest, you may trek the Uson summit, a tour guide is always ready for dispatch and gears will be provided by the resort's staff.

Food will not be a problem hence there's an available food/meals in Coconut Groove restaurant.  This is one part of the property that I enjoyed a lot.  I enjoyed my Filipino (you may order American breakfast too!) breakfast watching boats and other water vessels go by.  Sunset will awe you while having dinner at the restaurant, a beauty beyond compare.  You may order ala carte at any time of the day except breakfast and dinner for they serve it in buffet style.  Laptops, tablets and Wi-Fi-ready phones will not be useless for the resort provides wireless Internet access for those guest who wanted to continue their work while in a beautiful island resort or those Facebook, twitters and foursquare users who wants to update status, tweets and check-in their locations ( I know, right?:D ).  Or simply check their email and news even away from the city.

The resorts can arrange different island tours for guest: Coron island tour, Culion Island tour, Coron Town tour and the cream-of-the-crop of the resort -  scuba diving, in different World War II Wrecks in Coron, Palawan.
